Welcome to the Gill Nethercott Centre
Nestled in the Hampshire countryside on the edge of the North Wessex Downs National Landscape is the small market town of Whitchurch. You will discover the Gill Nethercott Centre located in the town’s conservation area, next to the duck pond and the Winchester Road car park.
This unusual building opened in 2007 and was designed to complement the nearby Silk Mill; the Centre straddles the River Test and houses the library (on the upper floor) and the Community Centre.
The light airy rooms and rear decking platform look out across the chalk stream and a small nature conservation area managed for water voles and otters; lookout for our resident egret and the kingfishers as they dart across the water. You may even be lucky enough to spot a deer emerging from the trees to drink from the stream.
The centre is fully accessible with a ramp at the front and a large disabled toilet, it has free WIFI and has a Premises license for music, dancing and for the sale of alcohol; full details are set out in our Terms and Conditions of Hire.
